This 3,000 square foot View Ridge residence overlooks Magnuson Park and Lake Washington in Seattle. It is an architecturally significant mid-century home from the Frank Lloyd Wright era of design.
This renovation and addition began with the demolition of the existing carport, deck, siding, and outdated finishes. Ikka constructed a 1,000 square deck to maximize the views of Lake Washington and create a space ideal for relaxation and entertaining. The installation of lake-facing floor to ceiling windows created a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor space. True to mid-century aesthetics, the integrated carport addition was a strong design feature of this project.
This finely crafted renovation utilized high quality wood finishes, enhanced mid-century design features, and maximized outdoor living.
